Culture, Diversity, and Books

What's It All About

I love books. I always have. Books are how I got through childhood. Books are how I relax and escape. Books are important. Books give insight to our experience, our culture, our importance. Because of their impact, diversity and cultural representation is important in the books we read - and the books we recommend. Stories are a cultural artifact and can document the ideals of society both past and present, as well as shape how individuals view themselves and those around them.
